Enabling Windows DreamScene on Vista Home Premium, Business and XP

This will allow you to have a video as a background on your desktop. Also, don't use this if your computer is slow! First your going to need to download a file (http://www.box.net/shared/5xamyszag7) save it to your desktop. Unzip it and right click on InstallDreamScene.bat and select “Run as Administrator”. You can type "Y", I just hit enter. Also make sure you open the .reg file to, DreamScene won't work if you forget that! Now restart your computer. Now it's time to add some background videos! Also, the videos get installed into C:\Windows\Web\Windows DreamScene. Example, (H:\Windows\Web\Windows DreamScene\)

Download this file (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/)
Open any video in it, Right click on the video and click on "Wallpaper".

If you can't see the wallpaper option keep reading. Goto Settings > Preferences > Video > Output Modules > Direct X Check the Advanced Options box. Check Enable Wallpaper Mode. Now try to set it as a wallpaper. If you want your wallpaper to loop do this also, Settings > Preferences > Playlist > Repeat All. To remove VLC player from the taskbar do this, Settings > Preferences -> Interface -> Main Interface -> wxWidgets and un-check Taskbar and enable system tray icon.
