Wave Electric

Hopefully you have done This Tutorial if not, you will have to go do it for this is a continuation.

Open up your original picture and do the following to it: Filter > Distort > Wave Click Randomize then hit Okay. In total you should do this 3 times to your background.

Next, duplicate your background and set blending options to screen. Now your coloring should be a light blue then original. Please do Filter > Distort > Wave Another three times then merge down.

Finally, duplicate your background one last time and set blending options to screen. Now your coloring should be a lighter blue then the original two originals. Please do Filter > Distort > Wave Another three times then merge down.

That will be the last time for the merging, duplicating, and wave effects. Your's will not turn out like mine but you should have the same basic concept of waves that look like electric...

My Final Result

Note: For a cool effect at the end when you are doing your final layer, instead of Screen try Difference. To me it looks rather cool.

That's sweet! Only when I did it, it didn't work out that well so I had to only do one layer, but still, mine looked unearthly.
